Middle Bass Island Music Festival

Music event poster and promotion

The Lake Erie Islands are a well known Ohio vacation destination. Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island is an attractive lakeside party town with many bars, restaurants and other amusements. Middle Bass Island is more off the beaten track with fewer ferry boats and visitors. It’s more of a family cottage and getaway location.

An annual music festival has been a Put-in-Bay event for some time. And in 2017, the folks on Middle Bass decided to kick off their flip-flops and show they can rock too with the launch of the Middle Bass Island Music Festival.

Graphite & Lead created the festival posters, t-shirt merchandise and Facebook promotion.

Who can resist a good fish joke? With this in mind we gave the island music festival its own bass playing mascot. I think he needs a name so let’s call him Benny on bass!

The poster design was produced in various sizes for displaying in local establishments as well as on outdoor media. The image was also used on flyers and in social media.

The 2nd annual event was a big success. We packed the island and everyone had a good time.

The former Lonz Winery venue has an interesting story which I wrote about on the blog.

Concert T-shirt

What rock concert is complete without a souvenir t-shirt!

Benny the bassist was adapted and silkscreen printed on the shirts. They sold out on the day of the event so orders were taken and a second print-run was made for everyone who wanted one.

Graphite & Lead work included:

Concept, graphic design, illustration, typography, and social media advertising.
